Marketplace listings that sell: titles, images, content and reviews on Amazon.ae and noon

On a marketplace your listing competes on the same page as rivals. Write titles with the words shoppers search, use images that show scale, details and use, put answers to buying questions in bullets, add proper Arabic content, keep price competitive within your margin, never run out of stock, and earn reviews through good products and service. Follow each marketplace's listing rules to avoid suppression.

On your own store, your product page competes with other websites. On Amazon.ae or noon, it competes with similar products on the same screen, often with the same photos and similar prices. Small listing improvements can decide who gets the sale.

Title: the words shoppers use

  • Lead with brand + product type + key attribute (“Brand Stainless Steel Water Bottle 1L, Insulated, Leak-Proof”)
  • Include what people filter or search by: size, capacity, material, quantity, compatibility
  • Follow each marketplace’s listing style rules in its seller help centre (title length, formatting, promotional wording). Listings that break them can be suppressed.

Images: answer questions visually

  • Main image: clean background as required by the marketplace, product filling the frame
  • Scale: the product in a hand or next to a familiar object. Usability research (Baymard) found many shoppers try to judge size from images.
  • Details: materials, textures, ports, stitching
  • In use: lifestyle shots in a realistic setting
  • What’s in the box and dimensions as an infographic
  • Short video where supported

Bullets and description: buying questions first

Bullet points should answer what makes people hesitate:

  • Size, capacity, fit, compatibility
  • Materials and care
  • What’s included
  • Warranty and support
  • Key benefit, stated specifically (“keeps drinks cold for 24 hours”, if true and tested)

Avoid claims you can’t support; marketplaces and customers both punish them.

Arabic content

Many UAE shoppers browse in Arabic. Provide proper Arabic titles, bullets and descriptions written or reviewed by a native speaker, not raw machine translation.

Price, stock and delivery

  • Price: check competing offers regularly; know your minimum price from your true cost per order. See the true cost of a marketplace order.
  • Stock: running out hurts sales and visibility. Use inventory sync and buffers. See multichannel inventory sync.
  • Fast delivery badges: marketplace fulfilment (FBA, Fulfilled by noon) often improves delivery promises shown to customers.

Reviews and ratings

  • Good products, accurate listings and fast delivery are the foundation.
  • Use the marketplace’s own review request tools where available.
  • Never offer incentives for reviews or ask friends and staff to review; marketplaces prohibit it.
  • Answer customer questions on the listing quickly.
  • Read negative reviews for listing fixes (“smaller than expected” means the size isn’t clear).

Measure and iterate

Track per listing: sessions, conversion rate (unit session percentage on Amazon), sales, return reasons and ad spend. Change one element at a time (main image, title, price) and compare a few weeks before and after.

Frequently asked questions

Should our marketplace listing copy our website?

Use the same facts, adapted to each marketplace’s format and rules. Original descriptions on your own site also help it stand out in search.

Are sponsored listings necessary?

Often useful for new products to get initial sales and reviews. Track ad cost per order against your margin.

How do we stop other sellers changing our listing?

Brand registration programmes (such as Amazon Brand Registry) give brand owners more control. Check eligibility requirements.
