Many service businesses list everything they do on one “Services” page: AC repair, AC installation, duct cleaning and maintenance contracts, three lines each. Then they wonder why they don’t show up when someone searches “AC duct cleaning Dubai”. Google can only rank a page for a service if there’s a page that’s clearly about that service.
One page per main service
Create a separate page for each service that:
- people search for by name, and
- you’d be happy to sell on its own.
For a cleaning company: deep cleaning, move-in/move-out cleaning, sofa and carpet cleaning, office cleaning. Not a page for every room type.
What a good service page contains
Work from the questions a customer has before they contact you:
| Section | Answers | Example (deep cleaning) |
|---|---|---|
| Headline + first paragraph | Is this what I need, here? | “Deep cleaning for apartments and villas in Dubai and Sharjah” + who it’s for |
| What’s included | What exactly do I get? | Room-by-room list, what’s not included |
| How it works | What happens after I enquire? | Quote, booking, team size, duration, what to prepare |
| Price or price range | Can I afford it? | “2-bedroom apartment: from AED X” or what the price depends on |
| Proof | Can I trust them? | Reviews, before/after photos, number of jobs, certifications |
| Areas served | Do you come to me? | Emirates and districts you cover |
| FAQs | The remaining doubts | Products used, pets, timing, guarantee |
| Clear next step | What do I do now? | WhatsApp, call, quote form: visible on mobile without scrolling far |
Put the most important answer near the top. People skim, and AI search tools quote clear, specific statements. See GEO and AEO explained.
Be specific
Google’s guidance asks whether content provides original information and substantial value compared with other pages. For a service page that means details only you can give:
- Real durations, team sizes, materials and steps
- Your actual price ranges, or what the price depends on
- Photos of your own work and team
- Specific guarantees and what happens if something goes wrong
“We provide high-quality, professional services tailored to your needs” says nothing a competitor couldn’t copy.
Pricing: show something
You don’t have to publish a fixed price list, but give people an anchor: “from” prices, typical ranges, or a short explanation of what affects the price. Pages without any price information often get enquiries from people who leave when they hear the number, or no enquiries at all.
Areas: be careful with location pages
If you serve several emirates or districts:
- One service page that lists areas is usually enough for small businesses.
- Create separate area pages only when you can make each one genuinely different: local photos, local reviews, area-specific details (access, building rules, travel time).
- Avoid copies where only the area name changes. They’re thin pages, and Google’s spam policies call out doorway pages.
See local SEO for service-area businesses.
Titles, headings and links
- Title: service + main area + brand, e.g. “Deep Cleaning in Dubai: Apartments & Villas | Brand”.
- H1: the service in plain words.
- URL:
/services/deep-cleaning/. - Internal links: from the main navigation, the homepage, related services and relevant guides.
- Google Business Profile: list the service, and link to the page where your profile allows.
Make it convert
Rankings only matter if visitors act:
- A visible button for WhatsApp and call on mobile. See mobile next-step buttons.
- A short form (name, phone, area, service, preferred date).
- Proof near the button: rating, number of reviews.
- Fast loading on a phone.
If traffic arrives but enquiries don’t, see website traffic but no enquiries.
Common mistakes
- One page for all services
- Copying the same text across services or areas
- No price information at all
- Stock photos only
- Contact options hidden at the bottom
- Writing for search engines (“best cleaning services Dubai cheap affordable”) instead of people
Frequently asked questions
How long should a service page be?
Long enough to answer the customer’s questions. For most services that’s several hundred words plus photos and FAQs. Length isn’t a ranking factor on its own.
Should we put FAQs in FAQ structured data?
Google no longer shows FAQ rich results (since 2026), so markup won’t change how the page looks in results. The FAQ content itself is still useful to readers.
How soon will a new service page rank?
Google suggests waiting a few weeks to judge changes. Link to the page from your navigation and submit it in Search Console to help it get found.
